Ana Lucão Mvangi

Ana Lucão Mvangi is a multidisciplinary artist whose work engages with multilingual concepts of identity, Afro-diasporic lived realities, and literature. Her fascination with language and literature began in her early years. The daughter of an Angolan father and a Congolese mother, she grew up in a multilingual household. She studied “Language Education and Narrative Arts in Social Work” at the FHCHP in Potsdam, where she fell in love with creative writing. In 2024, she founded the literary project Stimmen der Diaspora (Voices of the Diaspora), which currently continues as an independent book club. As a poet, Ana Lucão Mvangi has contributed to the anthology Sisters and Souls 2 – Inspirations through May Ayim, edited by Natasha Kelly (2021), and Togetherness, edited by Books Archive and Poetrymeets (2025). In March 2026, her first solo publication, Diaspora Baby, was released as a self-published work. In addition, since 2021 she has performed as a spoken word poet across a variety of contexts, sharing her work on stage.
