Dilman Dila

Dilman Dila is an author and filmmaker. His collection of short stories A Killing in the Sun was published in 2014. Currently he is writing his debut science fiction novel Dreams of a Yellow Ballon. His work has been nominated for numerous awards, like the Nommo Award for African Speculative Fiction (2017). Furthermore, his texts have been published in magazines like the Apex Book of World SF 4. In 2017 he was granted a scholarship as a residency writer at the Iowa International Writers Program. His Movies and literary texts can be categorized as science fiction and fantasy. He understands his stories as an important tool for positive change in the world, therefore he sees himself as an activist as well.
