Mamle Wolo

Mamle Wolo is a multi-genre Ghanaian/German writer and author of the children’s novels The Kaya Girl (winner of the 2011 Burt Award for African Literature) and Flying through Water. Mamle was born in Ghana and has lived in Accra except for ten years in the UK where she completed her schooling and obtained degrees from the universities of Cambridge and Lancaster. She enjoys immersing herself in writing communities and is one of the directors of a lively literary platform called the Writers Project of Ghana (WPG), organisers of the annual Pa Gya! literary festival in Accra.
