Nadège Kusanika

Nadège Kusanika was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1988 and moved to Germany at the age of 15. She studied law in Würzburg and was a fellow at the Bavarian Academy of Writing in 2022. In her literary work, she explores in depth issues of origin, identity and the complex experiences of migration. Her debut novel, *Unter derselben Sonne* (Under the Same Sun), was published by Aufbau Verlag in 2024. She is currently working on her second novel, which explores the highly emotional story of a kongolese mother reuniting with her daughter in Germany after years of separation.
