Francesca Ekwuyasi

francesca ekwuyasi is a learner, storyteller, and multidisciplinary artist born in Lagos, Nigeria. Her debut novel, Butter Honey Pig Bread, won the 2022 Writers’ Trust Dayne Ogilvie Prize for LGBTQ2S+ Emerging Writers, was a finalist for the 2021 Canada Reads competition, Governor General’s Award, Amazon First Novel Award, Lambda Literary Award, and ReLit Award, and was longlisted for the 2020 Giller Prize and the 2022 Dublin Literary Award. Her non-fiction debut is Curious Sounds: A Dialogue in Three Movements, a non-fiction experimental collaboration with Roger Mooking.
