Call for volunteers
InterKontinental is an association promoting African literature in Germany. The African Book Festival Berlin is the first festival in the German capital focussing on literature from Africa and/or the diaspora. This year’s editions takes place from May 29th to May 31th 2026 in Berlin.
We look for
Volunteer helpers who are free and willing to work maximum 6 hours a day, helping with guest relations, stage and event management, social media or ticket/book sales. Available preferably as early as May 27th until June 1st.
We offer
a three-day festival pass and free entry to all events taking place when you are off duty, flat hierarchies and many options to creatively and actively be part of the festival. All volunteers will receive a letter of reference upon request.
We expect
Reliability and flexibility, that you own a smartphone, good knowledge of the English language.
Unfortunately, we cannot pay for any travel costs.
