Adelle Nqeto

Adelle Nqeto
“Adelle Nqeto possesses the sort of quiet confidence, delicate and yet powerful in its delivery… It’s neo-African folk at its loveliest. “ -Texx and the City

Adelle Nqeto’s music stems from the gaze of an introverted observer with a passion for melody and stories. Rooted in South African folk and exploring Jazz, Indie and Pop, the Berlin-based musician’s work expresses not only the realities of being human – but also how beautiful such reality is. Quite fittingly, her music style has been labelled as “Alternative African Folk”. Her first EP “Lights” was released in 2017, and “Home”, her follow-up EP released in 2019. Now based in Berlin, Adelle is joined by fellow South African Tsepo Kolitsoe Pooe (cello) to create a sonic landscape of organic elements that support the bittersweet melodies Adelle has conjured up about our everyday existence.
