Chantal-Fleur Sandjon

Chantal-Fleur Sandjon is a queer afro-german author, lector and spoken-word-artist. Her interests are focused mainly on the multifaceted representation of black lives in Germany, inscribing the past, present adn futures. Her young adult novel “Die Sonne, so strahlend und Schwarz” was awarded the Deutsche Jugendliteraturpreis in 2023. Moreover, she advocates for radical diversity in the german children and young adult literature. She published articles on this topic and guides organizations in discrimination-critical development.
