Dudu Busani-Dube

Dudu Busani-Dube is a South African fiction author and a journalist by profession. Her latest novel, The Blue House, is a psychological thriller set in a small farm. She made her mark with her fictional novels, The Hlomu Series which comprise of Hlomu the Wife, Zandile The Resolute, Naledi His Love, Iqunga, Mess and The End. The books, which have all been national best sellers, appeal to mostly female black readers but she is viewed as a writer for the everyday woman. In 2021 her first three novels were adapted into a long running telenovela, The Wife, by the streaming channel Showmax. She is the 2022 recipient of the Charlotte Maxeke Excellence Award for Arts. In 2018 she was recognised by the Ethekwini Municipality among 18 young top achievers from the province. She was also a contributor in two anthologies, Black Tax: Burden or Ubuntu published by Jonathan Ball in 2019 and The Lockdown Collection published by Melinda Ferguson Books in 2020.
