René Aguigah

René Aguigah was born in 1974 to a Togolese father and a German Mother. He is head of the literature department at Deutschlandfunk and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. After studying history, philosophy and journalism in Bochum and Dortmund, he first worked as an editor at WDR radio and then at the magazine “Literaturen” in Berlin. He was a jury member for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize (2013-15) and a fellow at the Thomas Mann House Los Angeles (2023). July 2024 sees the publication of “James Baldwin. Der Zeuge. Ein Porträt” (C. H. Beck).
