Thelma Buabeng has been showcasing her versatility as an actress on the screen as well as the stage. She starred in award-winning productions like „Berlin Alexanderplatz“, „Borga“ as well as Karoline Herfurth’s „Wunderschön“. She appears on TV regularly as jornalist Marla Blum in on the children’s show „Löwenzahn”. She has been a member of the ensemble at Schauspielhaus Zürich since 2019. As a TV-Presenter she hosted the the concert show „Open Stage Berlin – die tägliche Doris“ for Arte. That same year, she took off as co-host of the weekly SWR talk show „Five Souls“ alongside Hadnet Tesfai and Natasha Kimberly. In her YouTube comedy series „Tell Me Nothing from the Horse“, she embodies various characters challenging stereotypes and racist klishees in the process. As a co-founder of the „Black Womxn Matter“ movement she is an advocate for stronger representation of female afro-German perspectives in the German media landscape and society.
