Tsitsi Mareika Chirikure

Tsitsi Mareika Chirikure is an African literature advocate, editor, pan-Africanist, curator and event organiser. She is the co-founder of the Berlin-based collective Isusu Ffena that organises yearly festivals in the city. With a passion for reading and discussing literature, Tsitsi has an online platform where she shares her work and the books that she engages with. A member of the Bosch Alumni Network, Tsitsi has hosted events that have included notable names such as Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi and Musa Okwonga. She is a Liberal Arts and Sciences graduate with a major in Culture and History. Over the past year, Tsitsi has been working at the Africa Center Hong Kong as the projects manager for the African literature and editorial team. As part of this role, she has also been the chief editor of the African Spear Magazine, a monthly publication which voices the experiences of Africans living in Hong Kong. Tsitsi has recently relocated to London where she plans on continuing to expand her presence on the literature and events organisation scenes.
